Calcite/Corosex Mix: Naturally-occurring mineral rock consisting of approximately 80% calcium carbonate and 20% magnesium carbonate. Used to raise pH of acidic water

Acidic waters on contact with Calcite slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate media to raise the pH which reduces the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals found in typical plumbing systems.

This is a bulk 1/2 cubic foot supply of Calcite and Corosex mix. It is used to fix low pH in acidic water. This specific blend is 80% calcium carbonate and 20% magnesium carbonate, which is stronger than standard mixes.

When your water hits this media, the mineral rock slowly dissolves. This raises the pH naturally. It stops acidic water from eating away at your copper or lead pipes and prevents blue-green staining in sinks.
