Acidic water (pH below 7.0) is more than just a nuisance—it’s a threat to your home. Over time, low pH levels eat away at copper pipes and cause those stubborn blue-green stains on your sinks and tubs.
How It Works
This system uses a dual-media approach to balance your water:
- Corosex: An aggressive media that quickly raises pH from as low as 5.5.
- Calcite: A slower-acting, natural calcium carbonate that stabilizes the water and prevents over-correction.
Efficient Maintenance
The digital control head manages the backwash cycle automatically. By reversing the water flow, the system flushes out trapped sediment and keeps the media from “bridging” or hardening. Because the media dissolves as it works, you simply top it off about once a year to keep your water neutral.
Note: Neutralizing acid adds a small amount of minerals (hardness) to your water. If your water is already hard, we recommend installing a water softener after this system.
